The Mommy Tree




Well, I am not about to fight anyone, anytime soon, however I am getting into "fighting" shape. Or trying to, anyway. I continue to workout with my trainer, Morgan, (twice a week) plus she has me on a cardio routine 3-4x a week, also. (That's the hard part for me). I love the strength training/conditioning stuff, it's cardio that I find utterly BORING! So here are some things that I do to make it more palatable:

1. Lay out my workout clothes the night before and put them on as soon as I wake up. Once my son is fed it's off to do cardio!
2. If timing doesn't allow us to go to my gym, Total Woman, (which I love because it's only women &it has everything I need-including daycare) I head out the door with little one in tow in his Baby Jogger.
3. Listen to books that I download. (Right now I am listening to How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie. This read will benefit me both professionally and personally).
4. If I go to the gym I catch up on the news or morning talk shows (I consider that market research, since my goal is to have my own lifestyle TV show, based on my blog La Buena Life), while I do my cardio.

The best part about doing cardio (other than when it's over) is that I am always really creative during that time. I keep my cell phone near me, so that I can record any great ideas that I come up with during my workout.

Great idea about laying the clothes out the night before. I did that last night so I would have no excuses to go to the gym, and I Zumba'd away!
